Boscolo windows dress in pink with IFDM

Energized by dynamic drive and continuous growth, IFDM sets a benchmark in the hospitality sector with this fresh, new spin-off. Distinctive IFDM DNA gives life to a publication that aims to foster and maintain a vibrant relationship between the international architects, developers, interior designers and decision-makers that influence and inspire the footprint and style of major hospitality brand structures.

A sophisticated compilation of innovative international design projects and exclusive interviews give readers a chance to delve into the inner workings of the most celebrated architecture and interior design firms across the globe. Alchemy from the major global players in the design mix puts the spotlight on the variety of furnishings, surface coverings and décor they bring to the table.

The semi-annual Contract&Hospitality publication stands alongside IFDM|Il Foglio del Mobile to keep a close watch on over 22 international industry events and become the go-to and must-have reference, featuring graphics and photographs that pop with visual impact.

For the first Spring/Summer cover of its new spin-off, IFDM is featuring one of the new colours of the year, Rose Quartz.
Colour is indeed the first design element to elicit a response and an established design trend indicator as well. Just one of the many themes the new biannual book covers, IFDM also collaborates with ColorWorks and Clariant to shed light on what’s new and what’s next in the annual colour trend forecast.

Rose quartz was the logical yet creative choice to dress the windows in the Boscolo Milano hotel showcase. And, the first of many Wonders to set the stage for this exclusive new compilation.

Fuorisalone BE A WONDER | Boscolo Milano – 1st to 30th April 2016

For the debut of its new arrival, IFDM selected the iconic spot for hospitality in the design capital. And, the Boscolo Milano hotel’s windows on centrally located Corso Matteotti will be dressed in pink for this very special occasion.
One of the most eclectic and creative on today’s luxury interior design scene, the Alessandro la Spada design studio came up with the Be a Wonder showcase concept.
Alessandro la Spada’s always-amazing vision delivered two window displays that evocatively interpret the personality and very essence of the book’s content, yet on a much grander scale.

Whilst Contract&Hospitality design projects are the soul of this new spin-off, the design firms behind them are its heart. To represent and even celebrate them, four will actually provide designs for the window displays at the IFDM installation. All of them, the epitome of excellence in their respective specialities and all boasting a track record of pursuing their passion for quality and innovation.

Coloured surface coverings for the showcase were supplied by Oikos. Moroso furnished a 3D rendering of the image of the cornice crowning the back cover of the book. LaPalma provided creative and innovative contract solutions. And, Nahoor Limelight tapped into its unparalleled skill, offering original custom-designed lighting that will illuminate the windows throughout the month of April.

Enjoy the visual feast of IFDM’s La Vie en Rose from 1 to 30 April or during your visit to Milan Design Week, take a photo and share it on your favourite social media using the #beawonder, #globaldesigncarrier and #lavieenrosequartz event hash tags.
