WantedDesign, platform born to to promoting design in the U.S. and abroad, celebrates this year its fifht anniversary in the network of NYCxDESIGN, programming for both stages of Manhattand and Brooklyn.
Founded in 2011 by Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat, WantedDesign Manhattan offers a complete immersion in the most creative design with innovative installations, memorable products, pop-up stores, interactive experiences, convivial lounges, thought-provoking student workshops, engaging discourse and more, hosted in the amazing setting of the Terminal Stores landmark building in West Chelsea. Among more then one hundred international exhibitors (one third of them U.S. based), it couldn’t miss a Made in Italy representation, with names as Driade, Horm, Diesel Living in partnership with Foscarini, Moroso, Scavolini and Seletti.
After the success of the Manhattan show, WantedDesign has expanded its vision to Brooklyn, with the launch this year of a second platform. This new location, located at Industry City in Sunset Park, has become the new destination for creative community that populates New York during the Design Week in May. Mainly dedicated to design education, experimentation, and the maker’s process, WantedDesign Brooklyn represents the perfect counterbalance to the twin event in the center of the City.
