Capital Collection is the interior design brand of Atmosphera, a Venetian company with more than 20 years of experience, a leading player in the luxury furniture sector. One of the novelties presented during Milan Design Week 2024 was the opening of gioiAtelier, a permanent showroom – in collaboration with Italamp, a historic name in the world of lighting – in the Lombard capital, the epicenter of design. The address, Via Melchiorre Gioia 8, is in the heart of the great urban renewal of the Porta Nuova district, where contemporary architecture – starting with the famous Bosco Verticale – meets lifestyle, with trendy boutiques and clubs.

What’s more, the building that houses the showroom was designed in 1973 by Marco Zanuso and Pietro Crescini, an important testimony to the Italian Brutalist period. In its 200 square meters of exhibition space, in constant relationship with the outside thanks to five large windows on the street, GioiAtelier elaborates a very contemporary concept of luxury that can be used in both residential and contract projects. The space becomes an essential setting in constant evolution, where the focus is on the proposals of the Capital Collection, a happy synthesis of contemporary creativity, craftsmanship and constant experimentation with forms and materials.

Such is the case with Duna, a collection of furniture designed by Boatto Martino Studio, with whom the company has a long-standing collaboration. As the name suggests, the collection is inspired by the desert, with its ever-changing landscapes made up of light curves sculpted by the wind. The collection is composed of a dining table, a sideboard, a wardrobe and a desk, all with curvilinear elements (a door, the base of a table) that fit together in pieces with great design rigor, made of a few precise lines and fine materials. True interior architecture. Other protagonists of the inaugural GioiAtelier installation were the Aurelia collection, living room or hallway storage furniture, with a linear and sculptural design, and the Mon Allure sofa, with soft lines and designed to be placed in the center of the room – again signed by Boatto Martino Studio. The same design language is used in the Suite collection, designed for the bedroom.

These are furnishing elements that are the result of a coherent vision in which luxury is not simply a wealth of materials, but a unique attention to design combined with a sartorial approach to realization. A fundamental idea that is also reflected in the library of materials that the showroom puts at the disposal of the customer, whether private or professional: a tool that makes it possible to experiment with colours and finishes and to create personalized combinations. To be translated into truly customized interior projects.
