Commissioned by the Municipality of Bologna, developed in coordination with the Office of Archaeology, Fine Arts and Landscape, and funded thanks to the national operative program “Città Metropolitane 2014-2020,” the project has concentrated on the lighting of 40 monumental sites, 16 km of porticos, listed as World Heritage by UNESCO, the 10 gates of the historical walled city, and several green zones, with the aim of functional energy and aesthetic efficiency in the historical center, leading to savings of 77% in terms of energy, equal to 387 tons of CO2 per year.
