Contract with the future

In Milan, USM has concluded its Italian roadshow, for promotion of a sustainable identity

The city of Milan – the fourth stop after Bressanone, Florence and Genoa – has been chosen by USM to complete its Italian tour Rethink – redesign – revalue. Hosted by Design Republic, one of its leading dealers in the Lombardy capital, the Swiss company called on its Sustainability Manager Thomas Dienes to illustrate a precise idea of sustainable enterprise.
This is a concept that jibes well with the intrinsic characteristic of the USM Haller system, namely the possibility of being infinitely dismantled and reconfigured. A product idea that has always wagered on “long life,” allowing for updating, modification and expansion in a countless range of aesthetic solutions.

In this case, the concept of the green factory makes a triumphal entrance, transforming USM from a product-oriented company to a firm that applies its particularly thinking as the keystone to achieve high positioning in the ranks of virtuous operators. The concrete proof of this philosophy? The company supports and sustains the market for used items, activated through collaboration with qualified partners.

The Cradle to Cradle certification (implying total recycling and reuse) chosen by USM represents a serious, demanding contract with the present and the future, pivoting on issues of energy, biodiversity and social equity. The goal is to become a circular enterprise, from processes to products. Without neglecting an in-house lifestyle that raises awareness of responsibilities on the part of employees.
