Emily, Remember me collection by Instabilelab

Nature motifs, animals, flowers and leaves are transformed into refined designs for wallpapers. There are many effects, from matte to glossy, obtained with gold and silver threads, alongside ‘chalky’ interpretations. Not only wallpaper, but also paints and paneling in wood or fabric, with built-in lighting to create welcoming zones where nature becomes the protagonist.

Remember Me is one of the two catalogues of Instabilelab, in pursuit of timeless elegance. Each graphic design of Remember Me, including Emily (on cover), narrates a dimension in which nature, geometry and color are transformed to clad surfaces.

The collaboration between the British company Cole & Son and Fornasetti has produced a collection of wallpapers: Senza Tempo II. In the photo, Ramo di Ortensia, the same hydrangeas that abound in the garden of Casa Fornasetti in Milan. Piero Fornasetti created this design in the 1950s, and then applied it to various tables and trays. This wallpaper captures the lush sensation of branches laden with flowers, suggesting a rich fragrance.

The architects Francesco Breganze de Capnist and Virginia Valentini of LATOxLATO have created a series of evocative wallpapers for the Flow line by Inkiostro Bianco. The red thread of the four subjects is a focus on indoor-outdoor relationships in architecture. The Bossage pattern urges the viewer to approach and to fantasize about what might lie beyond the wall. Each subject is interpreted in various hues, for simple insertion in any type of room, in harmony with different décor styles.

The Ortigia wallpapers by Élitis are composed of different themes. The Ortigia Retour des Indes line recreates an imaginary garden with delicate flowers, trees and leaves. The warm, glossy colors suggest a certain ‘earthiness.’ The vinyl support triggers a chalky matte effect, similar to lime.

The Nuova Pompei wallpaper collection created by Vito Nesta for Misha proposes a modern, dynamic reinterpretation of the places of the city, with an eye on the future. The four different patterns share a refined approach to colors. The Mosaico wallpaper is evocative, with its contemporary take on the floors and pavements of ancient Pompeii. The decorations once applied to floors have been adapted for use on walls and ceilings, changing the vantage point of the observer.

The Mosaico collection designed by Gumdesign for Styl’editions stems from observation of historical sites, reinterpreting history with new illustrated signs for their graphic reconstruction. It makes use of digital technology to make the design flexible, variable and suitable for application in contemporary space (in the photo, the Fiori e Foglie series).

DreamLux®, a brand of Samsara Srl, presents an exclusive innovation for the textile sector: luminous fabrics. The DreamLux Room in the photo has been made by applying two different techniques: on the ceiling, the movement of the aurora borealis is recreated with panels of jacquard fabric, where the weaving technique permits perception of the light only at the desired points. The lateral covering relies on the Victor Cigno fabric to cover the panels; the forest was painted by hand by the artist Giovanni Bressana.

To create a sense of tranquility in the space, the U-Gami folding panels by Wood-Skin are made with Alpi Wood veneer on an okoumé base. The built-in lighting transforms each panel, projecting a tenuous glow in an ideal setting for relaxation and meditation.
