For 25 years, the Salone del Mobile.Milano, the most important design event in the world, has been organising the special SaloneSatellite event dedicated to designers under 35. An important milestone and one more reason for young creatives to apply for the next edition.

Founded by Marva Griffin in 1998, the SaloneSatellite aims to bring together companies and young designers who are preparing to enter the professional world and the design market after their educational experiences. An international showcase of great quality.

In this quarter of a century, thousands of young designers have passed the baton year after year, some of whom have become part of design history: Oki Sato founder of the Nendo studio, Patrick Jouin, Lorenzo Damiani, to name but a few. You can get an idea of this by visiting (by appointment only) the Permanent Collection of the SaloneSatellite at the Artwood Academy in Lentate sul Seveso, the professional ITS instigated by FederlegnoArredo in the heart of Brianza, for the development of the supply chain’s professional skills. In the large Auditorium, the Permanent Collection houses most of the prototypes presented over the years that have become products, over three hundred of them.
Applications for participation will be open until 15 September 2023. Simply fill in this form, entering your details and photos of three projects completed by that date.

As usual, the candidatures will then be submitted to the evaluation of the Selection Committee made up of personalities from the sector who have always had the SaloneSatellite and its capacity to be an observatory and springboard for the talents of the future at heart.
Nor should it be forgotten that since 2010 the SaloneSatellite Award has rewarded the three best projects presented in each edition. The catalogue of all participants of the last edition can be found at this link: many will be present in 2024 as well, since those who pass the first selection have the right to participate up to three times.
The 2024 edition of the SaloneSatellite will take place from 16 to 21 April in conjunction with the Salone del Mobile.Milano, Workplace 3.0, S.Project and the biennial editions Eurocucina / FTK – Technology For the Kitchen and Salone Internazionale del Bagno.
