A moment of relaxation on the water, still immersed in design. This was the idea of H2O Design for Milano Design Week. A young start-up in the Italian houseboat sector, H2O Design suggests an innovative concept of life on the water, exploiting its factors of sustainability, energy independence and low environmental impact through mobile structures ready for use as dwellings or stores.

During Design Week the brand provided two floating units – moored at the dock on the pedestrian passage, on the side of Viale Gabriele D’Annunzio – which the international audience in Milan could board and enjoy. One of the houseboats was set up as a dwelling, with the participation of the sponsor Xam and the partners Kartell and Firmamento Milano. The other, with interior decorating by Pictalab, created an immersive, relaxing environment for total comfort. The two units joined by a platform (produced by TAFF – Modular Floating System) utilized for musical performances.

The houseboats have 360° panoramic windows to generate a strong indoor-outdoor relationship, while the upper terraces (flydecks) in the open air host a selection of design products – including those of the new brand ToBe Milano, with customized furnishings, presenting its first collaboration with Pollini Ceramiche.

For H2O Design, the week was also an ideal situation in which to present the new H2O WaterCT project, which proposes the creation of a scalable floating village, completely independent in terms of water and energy.
