The new Convention Center at Roma EUR was opened in 2016. Standing at a distance of 350 m from the old one designed by Adalberto Libera 80 years ago, the complex is organized in three distinct volumes: two blocks isolated in a public plaza (the Forum), known as Lama and Teca, and the free volume of the Nuvola behind the latter, immediately nicknamed “the cloud” by vox populi.
Composed of a metal structure covered on the outside by a white microperforated semi-transparent fiberglass membrane, suspended in the air inside the Teca, to which it is connected by escalators and footbridges, the Nuvola contains an auditorium with 1800 seats, which at the time was furnished with the Carla chairs by Poltrona Frau, designed by Massimiliano & Doriana Fuksas in 2013.

Today this furniture produced by the Custom lnteriors division of the company is joined by the new Margherita collection, again designed by the Fuksas duo. Offering chairs with or without arms and stools, the Margherita series stands out for its sinuous forms, like the petals of a flower (hence its name, which means ‘daisy’), ideally transforming the indoor environment into an open-air setting.

Produced in combinations of contrasting colors, the seats have a very strong structure, with covering in fabric or leather, personalized on the basis of the project in which they are inserted, both in terms of colors and in the choice of the covering materials.
