YACademy, the academy of architecture in Bologna that welcomes over 200 students each year, is about to kick off the new school year with six post-graduate training courses: Architecture for Humanity, Architecture for Exhibition, Architecture for the Landscape, Architecture of Regeneration, Architecture for Fashion and Marketing, and Communication for Architecture.

Relying on the expertise of YAC–Young Architects Competitions and helmed by Alessandro Cecchini, the academy’s goal is to foster design research through courses that offer professional advancement, insertion in the world of work and access to an outstanding network, thanks to contacts with authoritative figures in contemporary architecture, including 10 Pritzker Prize winners.

The courses alternate lectures, workshops, internships and collaborations with national and international studios of great renown, including David Chipperfield Architects, Foster and Partners, Toyo Ito, Herzog & de Meuron, SANAA, BIG Bjarke Ingels Group and many others.

The young designers and architects will also be involved in concrete and very challenging projects, from the design of a pediatric hospital in Senegal to the set-up of an exhibition for Fondazione Prada, all the way to the creation of a pop-up store for the prestigious brand 10 Corso Como.
