Not only has the barrier between indoor and outdoor been erased – outdoor settings now exist in total symbiosis with the natural world that permeates and surrounds them. The guiding principle of outdoor furnishings, until a short time ago, has been the fluid continuity with indoor contexts, in order to create a dialogue of style and atmosphere between two habitats, an expansion of the house towards the panorama in the open air. Today this concept has evolved to take outdoor living areas closer to nature than ever before, perfectly incorporating its materials, impressions and values. The so-called “dimension en plein air” has become a source of wellbeing and relaxation we can no longer live without, thanks to terraces, balconies, patios and all their parts.

Ceramica Del Conca takes its cue from this novel paradigm to expand its offerings for outdoor spaces. The collections of floors and facings in ceramic and porcelain stoneware (a field in which the group has been a specialist since 1979) adapt to the widest range of weather conditions, thanks to the raw materials utilized and a controlled production process, conserving high levels of performance in terms of resistance to wear, slipping and physical impact. These properties of the material are joined by refined aesthetic research that in the two new collections links back to the memory – and imagery – of natural and primordial elements.

Wild, a texture based on small stones spread in a uniform way across the entire surface, can be applied horizontally or vertically to create a total look featuring luminous accents. In the Wild2 version for outdoor use – with a thickness of 20 mm of compacted material, available in the format 60×120 – four colors suggest different impressions: the cool, neutral shades of White and Grey are typical of the stone of reference, while the two warm hues of Beige and Greige trigger brighter, sunnier atmospheres.

Nabi, the second new development for Del Conca, stands out for the particular wood effect of the surface, paced by light knots recovered through a ton-sur-ton putty technique. The textures of the Nabi2 line – for outdoor settings, with a thickness of 20 mm, available in the format 40×120 – are available in five colors to form a natural, earthy palette: Natural, a balanced, intimate, gentle hue; Honey, more intense and warmer; Taupe, a refined, sophisticated nuance; Brown, an elegant, welcoming shade; and, finally, Neutral, light and understated a gray-white tone.
