Second transaction during 2022, but even more important, the tenth and largest since its founding. Italian Design Brands (IDB) scores a new acquisition, becoming a majority partner in Cubo Design, a company from Abruzzo specializing in the production of components and furniture for modular kitchens. The company’s brands Miton Cucine, a “democratic” brand that offers affordable, high-quality solutions, and Binova, a historic brand in the high-end kitchen sector, belong to the company.

IDB thus expands its already rich portfolio, integrating the kitchens segment to an offering that embraces furniture, technical and decorative lighting, and contract solutions. “The entry of Cubo Design thus represents an important step in the creation of a Made in Italy design hub capable of providing the widest range of products and services,” says Giorgio Gobbi, Managing Director of IDB, which meanwhile continues on the path toward the Group’s listing, which was launched in June and is expected to be completed by 2023.

A new chapter is therefore also opening for Cubo Design, which will be able to “finance its growth through alternative instruments and have access to the capital market, having as a partner a structured and highly synergistic Group,” to use the words of Antonio Arangiaro, CEO of Cubo Design, who – together with Giuseppe Arangiaro – will retain a significant stake in the company he founded in 2006.
Cubo Design quickly came to national and international attention through quality and innovation. In 2016 it created the 25,000-meter, fully integrated Factory One production hub, among the first in Italy to be designed according to the Impresa 4.0 concept. In 2021 alone, the company, which has about 70 employees, achieved a turnover of nearly 46 million with an export share of about 56 percent.
