A tribute to Italy, a symbol of beauty, homeland of poetry and good taste, through what is perhaps the country’s most representative color. Blu Mediterraneo is one of the themes (together with Carretto Siciliano, Leopardo and Zebra) in the habitat vision of Dolce&Gabbana Casa. The chromatic scale ranges from the purity of white to the intensity of blue, in iconic patterns that produce a striking sensorial voyage through aromas, sounds and sensations deeply rooted in southern Italy.
The furnishings and everyday useful objects take on a familiar, delicate image, marked by vivid and surprising contrasts and an intentionally pictorial style, paying homage to the traditional majolica of Caltagirone ceramics and to the fine craftsmanship that is an authentic part of the DNA of the fashion brand. This heritage is enhanced by originality, also in the advertising, through the shots of the photography duo Mert&Marcus, which capture the spirit of the collection, and the ‘words’ of a love letter in the video contributions.

The Ortensia sofa thus becomes a true invitation to socialize, with its ample, welcoming forms resting on a squared, essential structure, ready to adapt with ease to any décor, embellishing the atmosphere in a relaxed, nonchalant way.
It can be combined with the Aurora table or the Atena coffee table, as parts of a unique design approach that challenges traditional methods of production. Here it is the design that guides technique, down to the smallest details: from the visual balancing of the volumes to the handcrafting of the borders, all the way to careful polishing to keep the appeal of the graphic design intact over time.

The items of Blu Mediterraneo tableware also bring a breath of fresh air; thanks to painstaking manufacturing, they are extremely resistant to scratching and wear. As in the case of the wooden tray finished by hand with lacquered decorative motifs, based on an archival foulard print, functioning as a serving accessory or a decorative feature in the most sophisticated living and dining areas.
Or the breakfast set composed of a milk pitcher, coffee/tea cups and saucers: all in porcelain, enhanced by the logo on the back and by slight relief details provided by a brushed transparent overglaze. Other touches of platinum along the edges are applied by hand and fixed by a third firing, relying on the finest Italian craftsmanship.
