Planters that seem like sculptures, modular dividers for balconies and terraces, but also electronic devices to monitor the health of plants, in the home or the garden. With the warmer weather right around the corner, plants and flowers are once again the protagonists, and the style of our homes can’t live without them. Here are some ideas to assemble (and care for) your compositions.

Venus Collection by Vondom, design Marcel Wanders

Vases with sinuous lines that link back to concepts of harmonious beauty, already in the name: Venus, the goddess of beauty. This collection of planters created by Dutch designer Marcel Wanders for Vondom is available in three different sizes, ready to adapt to any setting, indoors or outdoors. The color palette is also highly varied, from white to black by way of red and gray, to generate an elegant sensation of sensual warmth in all contexts. The vases are rotomolded, a production method at low pressure and high temperature that requires no subsequent phases of welding or assembly, while guaranteeing maximum quality and attention to detail.

Balloon by Caligaris

Vases with narrow necks and a base in the form of a balloon – hence the name Balloon. These are the new decorative objects by Calligaris, which are beautiful and offer something more: they are made in entirely recycled and coated glass, adding greater respect for the environment. They come in three colors – transparent pink, blue and dove gray – and two different sizes, 20×20 and 16×16 cm.

BOS by Collection Particulière, design Christophe Delcourt

For the company Collection Particulière, the French interior designer Christophe Delcourt has invented BOS, a series of vases halfway between functional objects and sculptures. The one in the photo is in smoked black glass with a base in black Marquina marble and a top in shiny brass (height 47.5 cm). The “suspended” body seems to play with gravity, through an imperceptible variation of shapes.

Sipario by Nardi, design Raffaello Galiotto

For outdoor spaces we need pots and vases, it is true, but also dividersThis one in recycled plastic by Nardi, Sipario (designed by Raffaello Galiotto), truly represents a revolutionary system: with its wide grid, it has an asymmetrical and modular structure that makes it possible to create different forms and optical effects, depending on the positioning of the individual modules.

Furthermore, thanks to special attachments it is possible to create partitions with different lines – straight, interrupted or curved – up to a height of over 2 meters. Last but not least: the planter unit is self-watering.

Alcazar by Armani Casa

A vase in Murano glass that can be used for flower arrangements or for simple decoration as if it were a sculpture. The style is modern, but thanks to the fine workmanship of the luxurious material, it narrates a great, historic tradition of Italian glassmaking. The transparent and sinuous surface of the Alcazar Murano vase by Armani Casa is treated with an invisible protective oil, reducing the risk of scratching. In a single size, with a round or oval form.

Plant Monitor by North

Even those who have an especially green thumb can still need to rely on a (little) help: the North smart soil gauge had various sensors that monitor moisture, light exposure, temperature and nutritional parameters in real time. It is ideal for garden planters, or to keep an eye on houseplants that never seem to be quite “perky” enough. Thanks to the Bluetooth connection for iOS and Android, the app can be used to monitor light levels changing across the day, helping users to position plants in the right spots to provide them with proper sunlight.

Vasolana GreyCamel by Slow Design 44

Vasolana by the studio Slow Design 44 is a collection of indoor flower pots covered in fabric: soft and enveloping for the touch and the gaze, they bring warmth and serenity to their surroundings. With a resin core covered with cashmere, they are decorative objects that thrive on contrasts: light but stable, delicate but strong, and if they happen to fall down – they don’t break! With their accent on warmth and lightness, then come in two colors: gray and red camel.

Vaso con stampa Foglie by Emilio Pucci x Rosenthal

The flamboyant and colorful style of the Florentine maison Emilio Pucci meets the refinement of porcelain In this vase created in collaboration with the German company Rosenthal. The model in a single size, 36 cm in height, stands out for the Foglie decoration, a reference to one of the classic motifs of the historic fashion brand.
