“Movement that inspires” is the slogan of the Korean automaker Kia, and the movement toward hybrid and electric transport has inspired the design duo to create a conceptual installation whose goal is to establish a dialogue between the car, its essence and the environment.
Dialogue is indeed the asset applied by Ludovica+Roberto Palomba, as in architecture, for the “immobile” representation of an object in motion, a car. “Moving inspiration” – this is the installation’s name – starts with primitive concepts: air, the energy produced by the automobile that drives through the air, and the trail it leaves in its wake. All this produces a simple but impressive tableau where the EV6 is wrapped by a discontinuous band of horizontal lights mixed with an audio-visual system to enclose this sculpture “in motion” as if it were inside a shell.
