Maison & Objet is a regular appointment for Illulian. After presenting Fabio Novembre‘s Sottosopra 2 in 2019, the company specializing in the creation of luxury handmade carpets launches Edra. The new proposal was designed by Illulian Design Studio and is part of the Design Collection line that includes modern and trendy pieces.
Illulian’s stand will be a refined space for mixing craftsmanship, art and design. Highly scenographic sculpted effects will amaze visitors and different designs will satisfy diverse furnishing needs. These pieces, and all the rugs by Illulian, are characterised by the use of top quality wool, silk and an extremely complex handcrafted process: they can be made to measure for homes, hotels, museums, showrooms, restaurants and sea craft.
Spotlights on Edra, a carpet manifesto of the savoir-faire of master craftsmen in the carving technique, the engraving obtained by manual cutting of the fabric. Tone-on-tone leaves are specially designed to give a three-dimensional decorative effect with a low-contrast surface. Soft, relaxing shades and shapes offering beautifully finished high-quality luxury. Edra can be made with different types of process: Platinum 120 (the most exclusive line, characterized by an extremely complex handcrafted process with 180,000 knots/m2), Gold 100 (with a density of 150,000 knots/m2) and Silver 60, an especially new quality created for hospitality and contract projects, such as museums, showrooms, hotels, restaurants and sailing solutions. The unique chromatic appeal hinges on the bright vegetal colors that go into their making.
Not only Design Collection. In addition to enriching the Design Collection, Illulian adds new creations to the Limited Edition, the most exclusive collection designed by renowned designers, artists and photographers, and to the Palace Collection which includes modern carpets with a classic feel.
