Wandering through the streets of Paris and, in particular, Maison&Objet, it’s easy to encounter homages to design and to its greatest protagonists.
Richard Ginori, historic brand specialised in top range artistic production of pure porcelain, has decided to celebrate the genius of Gio Ponti through an emotionally inviting experience. To celebrate the exposition Tutto Ponti, Gio Ponti archi-designer, on exhibit until 5 May 2019 at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs and of which it is also the official sponsor, is the proposal within Le Hall des Maréchaux of the Parisian museum of Gio Ponti magnified. Richard Ginori’s decorations as never seen before, an original and brand new 2.0 installation.
The journey through the exhibition starts at the ground floor where the visitor comes into contact with the Gio Ponti universe. Richard Ginori gives life to the iconic designs created by the Master thanks to innovative video mapping on the walls and ceilings of the space.
It is an immersive voyage with the unmistakeable illusionistic effect of the Prospettica decoration, with the magical elements of the Witch’s Hand, to the figures that characterise the decoration of the Archaeological Stroll, to the women resting on clouds that decorate the Women on Clouds Vase and Architecture, to the lively Déco of the feminine forms on My Women.
The monumental staircase in wrought iron leads to the upper floor and opens into the ‘Labyrinth’ room that welcomes the new collection by Richard Ginori, Stuoia 1923, characterised by woven decoration that wraps itself around the porcelain Oriente Italiano, Volière, Giardino dell’Iris, Perroquets andTotem.
The exhibition continues with the display of a selection of works, artistic pieces from the Ponti oeuvre, reissued by Richard Ginori such as the Triumphal table centrepiece for Italian Embassies, Hands and My Women.
The voyage ends with the new tableware proposals from the Magnifico collection that are differentiated by a precious decoration that depicts the papyrus, symbol of wealth and prosperity.
