Scavolini was one of the star turns at Cersaie, the world’s leading industry event for the ceramics and bathrooms sector. Not only did the brand unveil Gym Space, a new concept combining bathroom and gym, but also organised Diesel Open Workshop, a collab with Diesel which aims to bring a more informal approach to design to kitchen and bathroom spaces.
Diesel Open Workshop gives ample spce to the use of metal in the bathroom, including the modular Stock Rack shelving system, which combines shelves, compartments, cabinets and bases of different shapes and sizes. There’s an industrial-inspired feel to the kitchen, with the dominant colour being grey. It brings elegance to the space, complementing the streaked white marble, metallic aluminium and the intense grey of the decorative soft dun. The finest Italian white Carrara marble is used for the worktop and basin. As in the bathroom, a handle fitted on the top of the door has been designed.
Designed by Mattia Pareschi, Gym Space instantly catches the eye with its refreshed take on wall bars. The base is a charcoal-coloured multi-layered structure, onto which various bathroom and sports equipment are attached via hooks. The bars are like a magent for other equipment used by lovers of sport and fitness, such as benches, elastic bands and TRX ropes, while also providing storage for bathroom accessories such as lights, soapholders, shelvers, containers and mirrors. It’s the perfect fusion of aesthetics and practicality and opens the door to a world of personalisation.
