Italian Design Day is back

Italian Design Day will be celebrated on 1st March in 100 cities around the world: 100 Italian ambassadors have been invested with a mission to interpret the relationship between design and sustainability

The second edition of Italian Design Day will be celebrated on 1st March. A hundred professionals, including architects, designers, academics, businessmen, critics and communicators will present the very finest of Italian industrial design, to a public consisting of professionals and enthusiasts.

100 cities involved around the world, 100 events scheduled to take place simultaneously, and 100 Italian ambassadors invested with a mission to recount exclusively Italian talent in the creation of innovative and high aesthetic content, thus promoting an international debate, in preparation for the XXII Triennale di Milano 2019.

The project has been jointly developed by a team activated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and TourismTriennale di MilanoICE Agenzia (Italian Trade & Investment Agency)Salone del Mobile.MilanoADIFondazione Compasso d’Oro and Fondazione Altagamma, and involves all public and private actors that represent quality Italian design, including exponents of the business world and the training sector: in total approximately fifty stakeholders consisting of associations, federations, universities and design schools.

Studio Piuarch will also represent the excellence of the design sector and has been selected to illustrate the complex relations between project and sustainable policies.
