One space, multiple functions

Cities change and living spaces change with them, obediently following the upward development of urban architecture and bringing a new tempo to the lives of 21st century citizens. Flexibility and functionality are the cornerstones in reinterpreting the new domestic requirements, which have revolutionised the traditional layout of the home environment.
Highly conscious of this new “sociology of living”, Clei has adhered to the tenets of contemporaneity and expressed them in equally dynamic furniture proposals.
These principles have given rise to convertible and multifunctional solutions that have made the brand famous throughout the world for more than half a century: solutions for the day and night zones that expand the spaces with patented systems through which new furnishing elements are revealed that otherwise would be hidden from view: products for rest, relaxation, working and dining that alternate in a metamorphosis of design without neglecting the utmost comfort and simplicity of use.

Among the latest creations that embellish the Clei concept of the “smart home” – that is, able to adapt and respond to changing lifestyles – the innovative Kitchen Box is undoubtedly revolutionary, a mini, convertible kitchen that can be integrated in the Living & Young System programmes. Offered in two versions, Basic and Plus, with melamine and lacquered finishes, it is made of a linear and modular monobloc, connected to a swivel door with bookshelf opening that at the same time acts as the locking system. Numerous accessories give the product added value: a swivel door incorporating a pantry, a foldaway surface that opens in line with the top of the monobloc, various domestic appliances and a device that deactivates the hob and oven whenever the kitchen is closed. Another outstanding feature of the day zone in the Penelope 2 Dining system that can easily be combined with the Kitchen Box to obtain all the functions of a kitchen, dining room and bedroom in a single room.

The Penelope 2 Dining system includes a foldaway double bed, with integrated mechanised table, featuring vertical closure parallel with the vertical surface of the furniture to reduce clutter. These are just some of the remarkable items in the new Clei Living & Young System catalogue, the outcome of years of research in the field always targetted at the future of residential living.
