Tonelli Design has spent the last 30 years producing furniture made from thick panels of welded glass, collaborating with internationally renowned designers to develop a range of distinctive products and projects. At IMM 2017, the brand unveils a new collection encapsulating all of its technical skill and artisanal expertise, with a range of colours adding character to a minimalist design ethos.
Take Quiller by Uto Balmoral, for example – this range of light, versatile pieces comprises a bookcase, coffee table, console table, side table and mirror, all of which feature bevelling. Opalina by Cristina Celestino features a vanity table, writing desk, mirror, coat rack and stool, with the various pieces effortlessly slotting together, the rounded edges offset by the use of glass in pale, matt colours. Giovanni Garattoni is the man behind Atomic, a wall mirror made up of overlaid circular mirrors of varying sizes, with the finished product as much an aesthetic feature as it is a practical piece of homeware. Lens and Lenses by Paolo Grasselli feature coffee tables, side tables and bedside tables comprising two or three pieces of circular glass resting on a solid cylindrical base. Low coffee tables feature once again in the Pulse line by Karim Rashid, with the unique profile of the tables meaning a wide variety of different shapes can be created when they are grouped together.
