Penta launches MoM, a rainbow of colors

Here the near future was peered into, new strategies were defined and the next steps towards creating Euroluce 2017 were defined. This is the programme underlying the workshop organised by Penta at the Pratesi showroom, hosting the entire worldwide sales chain. The Design Promenade event was attended by 60 agents, at Milan’s splendid Palazzo Serbelloni, in an atmosphere of stimulating design and creative suggestion.

What better opportunity could there have been for the brand, now celebrating its 40th anniversary of operations, to preview the new MoM Family collection designed by Umberto Asnago; a collection of suspended lamps constituting the first step of Penta’s new voyage into the realm of creativity.

MoM, which stands for Metal-Oxide-Mat, plays on form, colour and materials. These are the three key words that define the design footprint: light metallic details spotlight the geometric lampshades made of borosilicate glass, softened around the edges and curves; the colour is obtained through a particular oxidation process, while the mat finish provides a surface that is soft to the touch and delicate on the eyes.

Evocative of precious stones suspended in space, the elements of MoM stand out within an atmosphere of eclectic overlapping of colours and refractions, where the combination of different forms and multiple compositions create a luminous, vivacious and colourful universe, at once gentile and elegant. A continuation of Penta design, 40 years now.
