The creative hub of designjunction+Dwell on Design

An exclusive partenrship animated the New York Design Week from May, 13 to 15: the UK’s exhibition designjunciton and Dwell on Design – one of the largest American design event – matched their talent in order to offer stimulating and innovative proposals to professionals and visitors within the ArtBEam venue in Chelsea. An agenda full of talks, developed by the Dwell editor-in-chief and EVP content Amanda Dameron, features a host of highly regarded industry professionals, such as the illustrator, graphic designer and author Bob Grill, who introduces the theme Exploring the built environment in the modern world.

In the three-day personalities as Caroline Baumann – Director of the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum – the architect Matthias Hollwich and Dorothy Cosonas, Creative Director of KnollTextiles, enhanced the public with their experiences.

Not only exhibition event, but also creative hub designjunction+Dwell on Design provided WeWork, the archetypal co-working space, Eletric Objects (first digital frame allowing you to customize the art on the wall) and Stuff Concept Store, a platform for distribuition and promotion of Croatian design.

The exhibition space will feature more than 20 contemporary design brands with avant-garde products, ideas and installations. Leaf is the beautiful sculptural lighting by Haberdashery, showed for the first time in the US. Also Anche Designarium e Cuero Design has been exclusive lauched in the American area: the first, a Canadian brand that displays Exocet chair, the second one combines Italian leather with Swedish steel to create beautiful interior design with a connection to nature. The rock&roll-inspired creations by Buster + Punch and the contemporary manufactures of AARA leave space to Nicolas Buforn, Bokara Rug Company, Iota, Melin Tregwynt and Dyke&Dean (will debut its new Slip Enamel range of enamelware which fuses old school quality with a contemporary twist).
