IFFS opens its doors with several novelties

Starts today the four-day showcase leader in the Asian panorama of design, IFFS/AFS International Furniture Fair Singapore 2016 / 33rd Asean Furniture Show – that, at its 33rd edition, introduces different news in the six pavillions dedicated to the exhibition space Singapore Expo. From Gamification – interactive “play-area” – to The Outdoor Boulevard, including the wide space of The Décord Show and the new partnership with furniPro Asia: these are some initiatives aiming to restyle the international kermesse dedicated to the Interior, which starts from a refreshed logo.

Mr. Ernie Koh, chairman of IFFS imagines the fair as «a holistic platform that serves to create a dialogue, stimulate new ideas» and the purpouse remains offering «a whole new experience to our visitors that is in line with our recent rebrand»; visitors that, according to last month pre-registration figures, which show a 46% increase compared to last year.

Among countless proposals, emerging designers play a central role in the context of the fair, specially thanks to Design Stars, a showcase that presents the exclusive projects of 20 multiethnic rising talents. Furthermore, during the opening day of the Asian parterre the Furniture Design Award engages in the nomination of the winners, young promises of design, depending on the creativity of their products.

Moreover, free seminars draw the public, mainly consisting of professionists of the sector, to The Piazza Hall, following the leitmotiv of “Smart living, Convivial, and Design Forward”, while the new pavillion The Outdoor Boulevard becomes en plein air, granting greater creative possibilities to otdoor exhibitors.

IFFS offers high visibility to the 350 producers, exporters, suppliers, and designers who present their collections, coming from 27 different countries – including new entries such as Ireland, Lebanon, Mexico and Russia.
