Tuet by Arpa

The link with one’s origins imprinted in the new surface proposal. Arpa® pays homage to the territory in which it stands and from which it draws inspiration, namely the landscapes and nature of Piedmont, giving rise to a new texture with which the brand measures itself in terms of innovation and aesthetics. From this research comes Tuet, a new reeded surface inspired by the Piedmontese marsh straws that grow along the Tanaro River. Distinctive feature of Tuet is thus that typical undulating movement of the surface, a regular and deep rhythm that animates the design both visually and tactilely. On the one hand, in fact, the wood grain generates a contrast between light and shadow, and on the other hand it defines a soft to three-dimensional experience at the touch alone.

With Tuet, Arpa paves the way in its collections for an unprecedented Deep Surface capable of giving movement and depth, precisely, to space; a new family of products with which the Arpa Industriale brand – which specializes in the production of high-quality surfaces with HPL technology – once again takes its cherished values of design, technology and sustainability to the extreme, with a touch of decorativism.

In fact, the graphic motifs that distinguish the new line wink, in fact, at an extremely contemporary trend, that of canneté or cannetted, which is back in vogue in interior design for furniture and wall coverings, recovering an element of tradition and actualized in production techniques, materials and combinations. Likewise, Tuet plays with graphisms and compositions on vertical surfaces (thanks to its 1.5-mm thickness), being able to arrange the grooves in both directions so as to vary the perspective. Its application is equally changeable, from the bathroom to the kitchen, from residential to contract contexts, through a defined and modern style that allows the collection to dialogue with any interior context – combining two wood decors, 4644 Caravella Light and 4645 Caravella Dark.

Thanks to this design, Tuet was awarded the coveted Red Dot Award: Product Design 2024, an international competition that honors quality design research and innovation. “Tuet allows for a surprisingly deep spatial effect,” said the jury, “and gives living spaces a natural yet dynamic feel.
