On the solid aluminium surface, a rhythmical, mutable and vertical motif takes form, out of apparent softness and suppleness. This is the identity of Tessuto, the radiator designed by Marco Pisati for Cordivari. The direct inspiration comes from the patterns of fabrics, the desire to reproduce the weave of a fabric on the vertical surface of an element that catches the eye in the bathroom (and elsewhere).
Marco Pisati has thus imagined a series of enlarged metal filaments, set side by side to create a dense, syncopated vertical rhythm that determines a dynamic game of lights and shadows, driven by the intentionally asymmetric and always unexpected design. Another characteristic of Tessuto is its modular composition, which generates a unique piece on every occasion. The basic piece that is repeatedly juxtaposed to give rise to Tessuto (made of grooves and flat portions) is assembled at random in the factory, also rotated by 180 degrees and thus specular with respect to the original, to create infinite rhythms and motifs.
Made in extruded aluminium with excellent thermal properties, the piece permits freedom of composition thanks to multiple possibilities of sizing – the radiator comes in 11 heights and 5 widths, also with standard spans to replace old units – and offers versions functioning with water or electricity. There are also 80 color variants available in the range of Cordivari Design, from which to choose for maximum personalization. The project has been developed with a system of light, minimalist accessories: shelves and hanger rods form a single whole with the product itself, thus bringing warmth, comfort and practicality through constantly original variations.
