Over 200 exhibitors, including leading design firms like De Jorio Design, YSA Design, SMC Design, Oliver Design, Naval Interiors Team and Marine Interiors (of the Fincantieri group). This is the refined gathering at Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe, an outstanding event for big players in the area of cruise ships and on-board design, on 1-2 December at ExCeL Exhibition Centre in London.
Following the twin American event – Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America in Miami in November – the European fair offers strategic networking opportunities, product presentations and the program of conferences “Cruise Conversations Live” (which addresses issues of sustainability, budget and affordability, as narrated by famous speakers like David Sagrista of Mystic Cruises, Andy Yuill of SMC Design, Anne Mari Gullikstad of YSA Design and Iina Forsblom of Tillberg Design Sweden).
The 2021 edition welcomes over 60% new exhibitors, a fact that points to the strong desire for a return to personal contact, but also to the great vitality of the entire industry. Stand-outs include Loloey (an Italian carpet firm) presenting its exclusive collaboration with Kelly Hoppen, and the outfitter Naval Interior Team with the new GreeNIT sustainability program. Visitors can also see Trimline with its private demonstrations of the new Trimline App that allows clients to be constantly updated on works in progress.
Exhibitors also include international design brands active in the nautical sector, such as Kettal, Tuuci, Geberit, Vescom.
Special mention should be made of the stands of Italian manufacturers: Ethimo and Roda display their latest outdoor furniture collections, while Elledue is on hand with custom interior design solutions; Piaval and Potocco, specialized in seating, Indel B and its technological minibars, Gerflor with various flooring solutions, join the ranks as well. Talenti focuses on new developments in the catalogue for 2022, carefully selected to respond to the theme of the event, in perfect affinity of intent: the company has been working for some time with the most important shipyards, including Azimut-Benetti, San Lorenzo, Ferretti Group and Baglietto in Italy, as well as Tankoa Yacht and Sunreef.
For the second year, the event is accompanied by the Cruise Ship Interiors Awards, with the aim of honoring the leadership, innovation and teamwork that emerge in the cruise industry thanks to its protagonists, designers and companies.
