Ipe by ADL, Design Massimo Luca & Giovanni Battista Gianola

The old dictate of “less is more” is a perfect fit for Ipe, the sliding system of double-glazed panels in which the built-in handle vanishes, replaced by a particular post on the opening side featuring a groove that acts as a full-height grip. The product created by Massimo Luca and Giovanni Battista Gianola for ADL (Gruppo Boffi De Padova) is an extremely light frame resembling the form of a slender blade, thanks to the coating of the visible internal part of the chamber glass. Minimalism that reaches maximum expressive impact, also thanks to the system that permits total overlapping of the sliding panels, thus boosting the opening ratio to maximize the clean lines. All the models come with a self-braking system, both when opening and closing. Ipe shapes space, adapting to it in the many finishes offered for the glass, from transparent to etched, mirror to backpainted.
