The art of renewing the past

Stockholm welcomes Glamora’s new, Orient-inspired wall paper collection, which brings 1950s style into the present day

Glamora, a “young” company, presents itself at Stockholm’s trade show with ambition and innovation, respecting its own philosophy. The company, specialised in wall paper, was founded in 2010, only nine years ago, but has already undergone significant growth thanks to its passion and commitment to research.

After GlamDecor, a vinyl wall paper for walls, ceilings, doors, and wardrobes; GlamAcoustic, a wall paper with sound absorbent properties; and GlamMetal, a cladding product with iridescent highlights, the brand has now launched GlamFusion, the first patented, pre-finished and waterproof wall paper. The perfect synthesis of aesthetic and technical function, this wall paper can be easily and quickly applied to surfaces and is perfect for cladding humid spaces or walls that come into contact with water.

Research is the fil rouge that led to the development of Glamora’s new series. The IX Collection, conceived for the innovative GlamFusion line, explores a plant theme with macro graphics, impalpable shadows, and abstract designs that range from the exotic images of a tropical forest to meadows to oversized flowers. The collection is inspired by unforgettable journeys through the Orient, its sumptuous fabrics, and the texture of silk and cashmere.

The series takes us straight back to the 1950s, reintroducing the decade in a new light that maintains its tastes while adding a modern touch. The various wall papers are characterised by abstract and iridescent images, fluid shades, and unexpected splashes of colour, broken down and defined by the light of a prism. Nature is often featured, but is never overbearing.
