This led to Horizon, artistic elaboration signed by Sofia Feraboli, protagonist of the exhibition “A decade of evolution in deign” carried out by IFDM in collaboration with the Brera Academy of Fine Arts, presented at the Fondazione Stelline in Milan.
In 2007, Terry Dwan designed the Maui armchair: a sculptural monolith carved from a single block of cedar wood. Harmoniously coinciding with IFDM’s 10th anniversary, the iconic product is celebrated by the artist, who enhances its curvilinear design and natural warmth, in which the apparent imperfections of the material testify to its quality. The Maui armchair is enveloped in islands of color and sinuous branches that follow its unique shape, slide on the wood grain and stand out among the natural cracks, forming an abstract landscape that enlivens the experience of a circular horizon.
