Maison&Objet, Asia and Miami suspended: the focus is on Paris and MOM

SAFI has announced the cancellation of the M&O Asia and M&O Americas editions from 2017.
The programme to expand the event, beginning with Singapore in 2014 and incorporating Miami in 2015, has been hit by a downturn in markets that have not responded adequately along with an equally difficult political and social situation that has objectively penalised France in the last two years.

“Our ambition,” as SAFI’s CEO, Philippe Brocart, explained with sincerity and remarkable transparency, “was, on one hand, to create the right conditions to help our companies to exploit new opportunities in interesting but geographically distant markets and, on the other, to export a value connected to the history of M&O, with its capacity to offer the best in design and décor.”
The impossibility of the short/medium term scenario led the organisers and to take a step back and return to the event’s roots, focusing all the economic and design energies on the January and September Parisian editions.

The international involvement of buyers, architects, interior designers and key influencers will daily happen on the b2b marketplace MOM – Maison&Objet and More. Launched for the first time in Paris last September, the dynamic platform links the design companies proposals to the interior world’s requests.
