Among the most extended commercial buildings in the world, The Mart welcomes the international public starting form today – Monday, 13 June – until the 15th of June. The Chicago three-day tradeshow is a premier platformfor connecting, learning and conducting business in commercial interiors, which highlights hundreds solutions for workplace, hospitality, healthcare and education sectors.
Above more than 370000 sqm are displaced multiple exhibitors, workshop and events connected to the general theme, Design That Works. During daily conferences, three keynote personalities transmit the compelling message: Paul Scialla, fouder and CEO of Delos as well as the International Well Building Institute, David Rockwell – president of the Rockwell Group – and finally Oana Stanescu, partner of the studio Family.
Guerilla Truck Show come back to NeoCon, the satellite version of the ultra popular emerging design event that ran in Chicago’s Fulton Market for 10 years. The all day exhibit – Tuesday, June 14 – will include a curated selection of up and comers who will show their works in the back of box trucks. Moreover, there are five young designers selected by Metropolis that take part in the New Talent Spotlight: Five Designers to Watch installation, at the first floor of The Mart; each protagonist shows from three to five objects which follow the typical all-scale Metropolis’ approach.
Hip Hip Hooray is in the wake of entertainment, which celebrates the winners of the annual dell’annuale Interior Design HiP Award sponsorized by NeoCon; the Italian brand Cappellini won the award last year, within the Workplace-Seating Lounge’s category, thanks to the small armchair Orla. Exclusive parties entertain the attendees, hosted within the showrooms’ space which features five new permanent tenants in over 650 sqm. Among the Capital Improvment program renovations, the 7th Floor Exhibit Hall has been redesigned together with the Lounge and the Grand Stair that connect the south lobby to the second floor.
