Welcome to the Design District

A crossroads of renowned neighborhoods in Miami, first of them all the artistic Wynwood and Lemon City, but its fresh appeal has made it one of the most fashionable areas in the city, thanks to its purely international aptitude. It is the Miami Design District, the neighborhood of design and fashion that attracts in Miami the best brands of the world. Here, one after the other, a line of showrooms, mono-brand and multi-brand and boutiques follow each other in a special showcase that speaks only the language of exclusivity, both for personal identity and visitors.

At the heart of the district the Palm Court Shopping Center, designed by the Japanese architect Sou Fujimoto, where the iconic Fly's Eye Dome is located.

Italian names of the interior industry also arrive in the new world, encouraged by the dynamism of the US market – and local markets that have recently gathered large, important projects – to create a space dedicated to Made in Italy around this design hub.

Next to the Big names, present for some time at the exhibition, Poliform | Varenna and Flexform, can be also found Luxury Living Group, Moroso, Euromobil, Alex Turco and MisuraEmme at the 2nd Avenue Suite; Porada (with the partner Anima Domus) and Visionnaire at Biscayne Boulevard, with new exhibiting locations opened last year.

And also many new entries for this year: Minotti is the first of the list, with a space of 9600-square feet on a single floor, in collaboration with DDC on the project by Minotti Studio; Fratelli Longhi launches its collections in partnership with Elite Home, in a venue of 6450-square feet. Citco debuts in the US market at the Miami area: 2690-square feet dedicated to the brand. Premiere for the brand Opera Contemporary that, in partnership with Excellence Designs, focus on the sophistication of its collections. Also the kitchens brand Schiffini reaches the venue, through a first opening with the historical partner EDH. A renewal for the Oikos Center in Miami with the exclusive retailer Decofinish, thus supporting also the brand’s presence at the Maison&Objet Americas fair.

And finally two renowned design stores for the list Luminaire and Internum, home of many international brands and industry landmarks.

Openings and events enliven the design week, alongside the M&O Americas, united in a single voice focused on the best of creativity.
