Eugenio Quitllet, new designer of the year according to M&O Paris

He defines himself a bit of a dreamer and a bit of a designer, Eugeni Quitllet, born in 1972, comes from Catalonia, in Spain and he is the new Designer of the year, according to M&O Paris.

He has a backdrop in electronic music and grew up in Barcelona, the city of famous artists and creative talents such as Antoni Gaudì, Eugeni crafts artworks, paintings and sculptures, by mainly playing with contrasts, especially with the empty-full variation. His ingenuity goes beyond the simple association of style and function.

Some of his past projects include: the headphones designed for the French Aedle brand in 2011, or the Tabù chair for Alias in 2014, conceived as sort of digital sculpture.

Eugeni collaborates also with other brands such as Christofle, for them he imagine a luxurious cutlery collection, called L’Ame and on the same sector – with the brand IPI for the Din-Amic cutlery collection, used on Air France flights. His first outdoor collection is Bum Bum for Vondom.

And so much more, Kartell, Lexon and Designer Box are just some of the brands with which he collaborates for international projects.
