Milano Design Film Festival. The Project and the cinema

From October 15 to 18 Milano Design Film Festival opens the doors, an appointment with architecture and design returns to the big screen of the Anteo spazioCinema.

This year the zoom lens focuses this on the reality, the experimentation and the complete transformations of the cities and the territory. From the urban development underway in China to the new building colonizations, from ways to live sustainably to the encroachment of planning: the selection of more than 70 documentaries focuses on the most recent cinematic production. There will be homages to the indelible figures of the past – Gio Ponti, Le Corbusier, Carlo Mollino, Alvar Aalto are just some of the names – still active in our DNA plan.

Continuing the process undertaken in the past edition, Flos sponsors the screening of the documentary of Elia Romanelli, L’anima segreta delle cose (Italy, 2014) about Tobia Scarpa, and Molteni&C chooses the stage of MDFF for the premiere Amare Gio Ponti (Italy, 2015) by Francesca Molteni as promoter of a new project that celebrates the figure of the great Milanese architect. For the occasion, B&B Italia has produced B&B Italia. La poesia nella forma. Quando il design incontra l’industria, by 3D Produzioni, that documents the history of the Agency, highlighting the creativity and productivity of its heritage. Cassina, for the 50th anniversary of LC Collection, celebrates the icons Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, Charlotte Perriand, with the film by Valeria Parisi and Didi Gnocchi Le Corbusier 50. Storia di incontri che hanno rivoluzionato il design.
