HD Expo, 5-star fair

The fair on show at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, from 15 to 17 May, hosts over 800 international exhibitors from the hospital sector.

It’s not just “Sin City”! Las Vegas has an exceptional spot in the ranks of cities that are magnets for design addicts, and especially for specialists in hospitality design, thanks to the annual appointment with HD Expo, organized for 27 years now by the magazine Hospitality Design and capable of attracting over 12,000 visitors from 40 countries with each iteration.

This must-attend event took place again this year at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center, from 15 to 17 May. From product to project, trends to business, the three-day fair offers an immersive experience in the dimension of hospitality, thanks to the presence of over 800 international exhibitors specializing in interior design, furniture, lighting, finishes, bath furnishings and accessories (the delegation of Made in Italy grows year after year, including the group exhibit IC4HD – Italian Contract 4 Hospitality Design).

HD Expo also presents conferences with leading players in the field like Andrew Zobler (founder and CEO of Sydell Group), Brad Wilson (president of Ace Hotel) or Tom Ito (principal of Gensler), among others, on a very wide range of themes: wellness, restaurants, urban planning, healthcare, new concepts for the industry… New sectorial developments included the HD Expo Technology Pavilion, on innovative solutions to improve guest experience, from in-room technologies to mobile apps for design software, and the Wellness Pavilion, underscoring the importance of this segment, which accounted in 2017 for turnover of 639 billion dollars, with an outlook to reach 1 trillion by 2022.

Las Vegas becomes an ideal place for networking and culture, as well as a first-hand experience of the most innovative and original solutions in the hospitality industry. Besides the fair, visitors can proceed down the Strip or through the fascinating streets of the city for a concrete experience of the most futuristic results that can be achieved. NoMad Las Vegas and Palms, for example!
