Innovation, responsibility, quality, and customer focus. These are the key words on which ARAN Cucine has built not just a brand, but its identity. Founded by Renzo Rastelli, the company has shaped its design philosophy around the search for high-quality materials, experimentation, and the reliability of its solutions, combining craftsmanship and technology. For over 20 years, despite changes in living styles, aesthetics, and domestic functions, this approach has remained unchanged. ARAN Cucine’s design language is therefore well-defined – and it is on these same principles that the company has developed its latest product, Virgola.
Created in collaboration with architect Massimo Iosa Ghini, Virgola introduces an innovative sign in both the brand’s aesthetics and vision. As its name suggests, it is defined by a curved line that outlines its volume: a structural and ergonomic principle that shapes a soft geometry while eliminating the fragmentation of sharp edges. This new kitchen conveys a meaning that goes beyond formal expression – it creates a natural pause, a breath within everyday life. In this way, the company’s design approach is also renewed through an original perspective. Above all, the curvature of the countertop represents a significant technological advancement, opening up new possibilities both in formal terms and performance.
Within this curved portion of the worktop, the sink is seamlessly integrated: crafted from the same porcelain stoneware as the surface, it ensures material and visual continuity, creating a fluid, uninterrupted plane between countertop and basin. The washing area, free from visible joints, becomes a sculptural and multifunctional element, enhanced with dedicated accessories that expand its operational capabilities. From this same monolithic element also emerges the integrated snack island, conceived as a natural extension that enhances the kitchen’s welcoming and convivial dimension.
Virgola also brings to the forefront another essential concept for the company: performance. High-tech porcelain stoneware surfaces, high-performance materials, and carefully selected finishes embody the ideals of resistance, durability, and sustainable quality that define the brand’s kitchens. This is further reinforced by a green philosophy that is integral to the entire project: FSC®-certified wood and water-based paints with very low VOC emissions reflect an approach centered on the well-being of the home environment and industrial responsibility. “The collaboration with ARAN Cucine has allowed us to combine manufacturing expertise and design vision into a single, distinctive gesture,” says architect Massimo Iosa Ghini, “where industrial innovation becomes a tool for creating a conscious and enduring beauty.”
