Design has the extraordinary ability to connect people, places, experiences, and cultures. It is a universal language that transcends time and space. This spirit has always been embodied by Milan’s design district par excellence, the Durini District. From its main street branches out a network of showrooms, iconic locations, and hubs for meetings and creativity, fostering a culture of design throughout the year. The idea of creating a network among these realities gave rise to the DDDesign circuit, which brings together excellence in the sector, generating opportunities for dialogue, networking, and education, while enhancing both the companies and the local area.

It is precisely this philosophy, based on relationships, that accompanies DDDesign during Milan Design Week, with a project that combines hospitality, welcome, and design quality. The circuit interprets the spirit of the district and the event through the theme “Design Hospitality – Milan Style”: a contemporary concept that presents Milanese hospitality not only as a function, but as a cultural and design value capable of connecting design, the city, and people. Hospitality is, in fact, the common thread that unites the entities within the DDD circuit, explored through its design value in high-end contract projects, the hotel industry, and large-scale supplies for collective spaces.

It is around this theme that initiatives and projects develop within the district. These begin with a collaboration established with six prestigious hotels located in the heart of Milan, offering guests a dedicated service to take part in mila – from the district’s official Design Week guide distributed in every room, to a concierge project organizing exclusive visits to the circuit’s showrooms. This creates an immersive journey through the streets of the Durini District, further enhanced by technology: thanks to the DDDesign app, users can select their favorite stores and create a personalized tour, as well as stay updated throughout the year on all events promoted by the circuit’s companies and partners.
To make the experience even more distinctive, a series of urban projects – particularly in the Largo Augusto and San Babila areas – create a coordinated and synergistic image between design and hospitality. The rich program of events, meetings, and presentations thus consolidates DDDesign as a point of reference for professionals, investors, and international stakeholders, for one week and beyond.
