In a city defined by light, scale, and constant reinvention, Kettal’s newly opened Dubai showroom arrives as a quiet yet confident statement. More than an expansion, the space signals a thoughtful dialogue between global design and local context, one that positions the Spanish brand firmly within the Middle East’s evolving architectural and cultural landscape. Founded in 1966 as a family-run business, Kettal has evolved into an internationally recognised name in contemporary furniture and architectural solutions, collaborating with some of the world’s most influential designers while remaining deeply rooted in innovation, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

This opening also reflects Kettal’s long-term commitment to the region, where architecture increasingly calls for adaptable, climate-responsive design solutions. Dubai’s position as a global crossroads makes it a natural setting for the brand’s approach to contemporary living; one that blurs the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces, private and public environments, and residential and contract use. Conceived as both a destination and a working tool, the showroom offers architects and designers a tactile understanding of how Kettal’s systems, materials, and collections can be integrated into real-world projects across hospitality, workplace, and residential contexts. Rather than replicating its flagship Barcelona space, the Dubai showroom represents a new chapter—one shaped by its local context. Designed as an immersive environment, the space explores light, materiality, nature, and craft through a regional perspective. A porcelain veil façade filters the intense Gulf daylight, creating a subtle dialogue between interior and exterior, while an elongated skylight introduces shifting patterns of natural light throughout the day.

At the heart of the showroom stands a sculptural staircase clad in Mutina “Chamotte” ceramics, designed by Patricia Urquiola. Rich in texture and tactility, it anchors the space both visually and spatially. Custom enamelled screens, also developed in collaboration with Urquiola, divide the interior without fully enclosing it, allowing light to choreograph movement and create a fluid sequence of environments. A garden entrance and rooftop terrace extend the experience outdoors, reinforcing Kettal’s philosophy that exterior living is an essential part of architecture, not an afterthought.

The showroom showcases a curated selection of Kettal’s iconic and contemporary collections. Highlights include Tilos by Antonio Citterio, a refined lounge system balancing craftsmanship and industrial clarity, and Kari by Konstantin Grcic, sculptural side tables that double as seating. The re-edition of Loden by Vico Magistretti connects the brand’s heritage with its modern vision, while Passage by Ronan Bouroullec and Insula by Patricia Urquiola emphasize Kettal’s mastery of indoor-outdoor versatility. More than a retail destination, Kettal Dubai is conceived as a platform for dialogue between architecture, design, and landscape. By offering integrated solutions that combine furniture, lighting, and architectural systems, the showroom positions Dubai as a key hub within Kettal’s international network and a catalyst for future collaborations across the region.
