In the heart of Siena, just minutes from the historic centre yet immersed in greenery, Villa Ermellina opens as the new urban resort by 753 Hospitality under the leadership of CEO Nevius Glussi. Set within more than four hectares of landscaped gardens and offering panoramic views across the city skyline and the Val d’Orcia, the property introduces a refined vision of hospitality, where relaxation, gastronomy and design coexist in a carefully balanced dialogue. The resort features 117 rooms designed as intimate retreats, conceived to offer both comfort and understated elegance.
Custom furnishings, sophisticated colour palettes and soft, atmospheric lighting define interiors that feel calm and welcoming, while large windows frame the surrounding landscape, reinforcing the sense of continuity between indoor and outdoor spaces. Villa Ermellina stems from the transformation of the former Hotel Garden, inaugurated in 1964, and takes its name from Marchioness Ermellina Bargagli Stoffi, a cultured Sienese noblewoman deeply devoted to the cultural and social life of the territory.
The Bargagli family, also owners of the historic Villa del Poggiarello in the Sienese countryside, have long played a role in shaping the area’s aristocratic and intellectual identity, promoting a tradition of hospitality, social exchange and refined living that extended beyond the city walls. Developed in partnership with Marriott International within the Tribute Portfolio collection, the project marks the official debut of 753 Hospitality and the first milestone in an already ongoing development strategy.
Villa Ermellina reflects the group’s approach to contemporary Italian hospitality, rooted in local identity yet designed to resonate with an international audience. The architectural restoration preserved the villa’s original character, while London-based studio Goddard Littlefair curated the interiors, blending heritage references with a contemporary sensibility. Particular attention was given to materiality, spatial flow and the creation of welcoming atmospheres that support both leisure and social interaction.
Outdoor living is central to the Villa Ermellina experience. Two swimming pools, a gym immersed in the garden, tennis courts and expansive green areas invite guests to slow down and reconnect with nature. A panoramic terrace overlooking Siena and the surrounding countryside becomes a natural gathering point, offering cinematic views that change with the light and seasons. Food and beverage venues are conceived as social spaces open not only to hotel guests but also to the local community.
Bar 18:68 subtly references Ermellina’s life through symbolic details, while the Rosa Nobile restaurant reinterprets Tuscan flavours with contemporary flair, combining local produce, storytelling and ritual. Designed to accommodate both leisure stays and high-profile events, Villa Ermellina also caters to the MICE segment, featuring a 400-seat conference hall, modular meeting rooms and versatile outdoor spaces. With phased openings underway and full completion expected by early 2026, Villa Ermellina positions itself as a new reference point for luxury hospitality in Tuscany, where history, landscape and contemporary living meet.
