The Parà Group has a long tradition in the textile sector, an area it has helped to innovate over time by combining technology and aesthetics. Its interior fabrics, developed under the Parà brand, draw on its deep expertise—first cultivated in the industrial sector and then in the outdoor sector—and are enriched by constant research into interior trends and a sustainable approach, which is reflected in the use of natural fibers and environmentally friendly production cycles. The Group has its roots in a small Brianza-based company founded by Mario Parravicini in the 1920s, initially engaged in the production of fabrics for mattress frames and, later, paper fabrics used to cover car seats, before entering the world of sun protection and furnishings.

With the acquisition of the Tempotest brand (renowned for its innovation in the use of solution-dyed acrylic fiber), this vocation for the outdoor world was strengthened, leading to the creation of specific lines for outdoor and nautical coverings, as well as sunscreens. It is this heritage of research, innovation, and knowledge that has shaped the Parà line for interiors, a natural extension of the Group’s offering that is expressed in collections that, by their very nature, offer high standards of quality, resistance, and durability. The Parà range for interiors includes over a thousand color variations, both piece-dyed and printed designs (up to 24 colors), on different natural fiber bases, such as linen and cotton. There is also a wide variety of applications—such as upholstery for sofas, armchairs, and chairs, cushions, beds, and curtains—which ensure the same performance in every context.

This variety of colors and uses is demonstrated by some of Parà’s most recent and iconic fabrics. Such as the historic Alaska, which expands its range with a new color palette and now boasts 74 fabrics with a pleasant peach skin feel, characterized by excellent resistance and tenacity. Made from 100% cotton, it is suitable for upholstering armchairs, chairs, headboards, and wardrobes.

The same applications also feature Brest fabrics—a brushed fabric with a ratier effect and a textured feel—and Caleido, which, with its 30-year history and a color range of 80 fabrics regularly in stock, can be considered the best-selling linen/cotton blend fabric ever.

The sustainable side of the brand, always attentive to the quality of natural materials and the preservation of resources, is particularly evident in fabrics such as Brisi, 100% linen (therefore recyclable and biodegradable), which stems from the consolidated quality of the historic ISI TINTA UNITA, embellished with a sandblasted finish and a vintage effect that enhances the natural irregularity of linen.

Twist by Parà

The same goes for Twist, a fabric developed using the same yarn in the warp and weft made from recycled cotton (70%), PET (25%), and other recycled fibers, giving it a “coarse” look that is authentic and timeless. Thanks to this eco-sustainable DNA, Twist is GRS-certifiable, which guarantees the use of recycled materials and traceability throughout the entire production process.

In the same vein, CrissCross is a 100% pre-consumer recycled cotton fabric, produced in Italy from spinning waste, without contamination from other fibers. By using recycled cotton, CrissCross promotes significant water savings and a reduction in CO2 emissions linked to maritime transport for the supply of virgin fibers. All these fabrics are part of the ambitious Fabrics For Future corporate project: 100% traceable fabrics, the result of a transparent and virtuous supply chain that enhances the value of the material by transforming it into authentic, unique, and exclusive products.
