Brussels, a multicultural and lively city, cradle of Art Nouveau and Surrealism. From November 2 to 5, the Belgian capital will become the ideal destination for design professionals thanks to a new edition of the Brussels Furniture Fair. A historic trade fair (the first edition dates back to 1937), the event is an important hub for the Central European market, a meeting point for companies and retailers from the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Great Britain, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, and Scandinavia.

Over time, the fair has expanded its exhibition offering, integrating new exhibition areas and new product categories. Starting with Outdoor Living, an exhibition platform launched last year and renewed this year with great success – and enriched with a convivial “mocktail bar” to create the right atmosphere. Many specialist brands were present, including Roolf Living, Wünder, Umbrosa, Tooon by Toon De Somer, Chill Line, Richmond, Soho, Mazu, and Gescova.

The Brussels by Night project, promoted since 2022 and growing steadily, has been equally successful, with increasing international participation confirming the interest in the “bedroom” segment as a whole – from mattresses to bed bases, from bed systems to textiles, right through to furnishings. New entries such as Schramm Betten, Harisson Spinks, Le Sommeil Français, and Aya of Sweden join the more well-known Dutch manufacturers Adova and Oschmann Betten.

Brussels by Night reveals the retail world’s strong interest in Contract, a sector that the fair is developing with a particular focus on the hospitality and office segments. Many exhibitors at the Brussels Furniture Fair showcase solutions that meet the needs of the sector, and the fair addresses their audience directly, engaging in constant dialogue with buyers, interior designers, and decision-makers.

Design, furniture, but also decoration. The event also embraces the world of decoration in the “Belgian Design Island” area, which this year has been slightly restyled and moved to Hall 5. Here, even the most experimental designs will be on display thanks to new emerging voices in design: young talents, students, and startups will come together here to share inspiration and ideas.
