The month of September is full of appointments in the nautical field. The first in chronological order is the Cannes Yachting Festival (September 9-14), considered Europe’s premier in-water boat show and the world’s number one for large sailing yachts. In 2024, it inaugurated a new section dedicated to motor yachts 12-13 meters and above, located in Port Canto. The Cannes Yachting Festival aims to progressively reduce its environmental impact and implements various actions with the support of its partners, suppliers, and exhibitors.

From September 18-21, the 65th Genoa International Boat Show will take place. Beyond the excellence of shipbuilding – including yachts & superyachts, sailing boats, ribs, and multihulls – as well as technologies, accessories, components, and electronics, the show will host the sixth edition of the Design Innovation Award. This accolade is organized and promoted by Confindustria Nautica and the Genoa International Boat Show to reward excellence, research, and innovation in the nautical sector. The President of the 2025 Jury, composed of international experts in the fields of yachting, design, and culture, will be the Italian designer Walter De Silva, recipient of the 2011 Compasso d’Oro for Lifetime Achievement and an Ambassador of Italian excellence worldwide.

Now in its 56th edition, the Southampton International Boat Show (September 19-28) is launching the Innovation Zone, a space designed to highlight the 12 most innovative startups in the nautical sector within a single interactive area. This initiative is part of a broader collaboration between Yachting Ventures and British Marine, the UK’s leading trade association for the leisure, superyacht, and small commercial marine sectors, and owner and operator of the Southampton International Boat Show.

The 34th Monaco Yacht Show (September 29, 2025 – October 2, 2025) embodies the quintessence of superyachting, presenting over 120 superyachts and around 60 luxury tenders. Among the large units on display, approximately 40 new launches of the year reflect the latest market trends.

The Croatia Yacht Show, scheduled for September 29 – October 1, 2025, will not take place this year. “Zadar Cruise Port was selected for its modern infrastructure and capacity to accommodate up to 100 superyachts. The timing no longer allows us to guarantee the high standards the yacht charter industry deserves… We plan to bring back the Croatia Yacht Show in 2026 under better conditions. Thank you for your understanding,” reads the official statement.
