We are in Ras Abrouq, on the edge of the Al Reem Biosphere Reserve, recognized by UNESCO. Situated on the beach, where the desert meets the sea, this new resort from Our Habitas arises, a brand of lodgings situated in some of the world’s most fascinating locations. All aim to dialogue with the natural and cultural context, just like Our Habitas Ras Abrouq. If its shapes, colors, and materials are the tools through which architecture interacts with the territory, art and culture represent the connections to the rich fabric of local creativity and traditions.

It is in this sense that luxury is interpreted: through the opportunity to live and breathe the atmosphere of a place that is both authentic and elegant. The forty-two villas of the resort, gently distributed along the beach, blend into the context thanks to their color components that recall the shades of the sand and their natural materials. Strengthening the strong connection to the territory are the tensile structures that cover them: their color echoes the local desert dunes, and their curves seem to mirror the coastal bends, as if chasing them in parallel.

Moreover, they recall the tents of Bedouin peoples, known for their strong sense of hospitality. All the villas, which can accommodate from one to four bedrooms, feature their own terrace with a pool, and their interiors reinterpret the local design culture in a contemporary way. The furnishings, tapestries, and fabrics were purchased in souks and from local artisans with the aim of narrating the story of Qatari creative culture as an added value to the guest experience. Throughout the resort, which includes common spaces such as the restaurant, wellness center, and beach bar, there are works by emerging and established artists, selected in collaboration with Qatar Museums, one of the most prestigious cultural institutions in the country.
