The Italian headquarters of the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design (CIID), the historic Astino Monastery, restored by Fondazione Mia and the City of Bergamo, has been awarded the ‘Landscape of Europe Award 2021’ by the Council of Europe. Its 2,000 square meters contain digital fabrication laboratories, prototyping rooms and a laboratory dedicated to biodiversity.
Furnishings include Buddy Oasi sofas by Busetti Garuti Redaelli with polyurethane foam backs, Elliot high tables by Patrick Jouin, and Nolita stools by CMP Design.
The dining room features Dome stools by Odo Fioravanti and Gossip armchairs by Claudio Dondoli and Marco Pocci, in a Recycled Grey version made from recycled polypropylene. On the outdoor terrace, Patrick Jouin’s Elliot tables are paired with Odo Fioravanti’s Babila Twist steel armchairs, covered with a flat polypropylene rope weave.
