From May 15 to 21, 2025, Villa Albertine – the cultural institution of the French Embassy in the United States – will celebrate the third edition of the Oui Design! festival, bringing French craftsmanship and design to New York City during NYCxDesign. This initiative combines know-how, innovation, and cultural exchange, engaging the entire city with open studios, talks, exhibitions, and events.

The opening on May 15 will take place at the historic Villa Albertine venue, the Payne Whitney Mansion, with a pop-up exhibition curated by French – but Brooklyn-based – creative director Aurore Vullierme.

The featured artists include: Celina Blundell, who creates artistic wall decorations; Cécile Gray, who makes gold thread jewelry; Pierre-Yves Morel, who uses pictorial marbling techniques; Julien Vermeulen, a feather master; and Mathilde Martin, a ceramist. Villa Albertine residents Alice Riehl, Julia Debord-Dany, and Fanny Serouart, who are supported by the Bettencourt Schueller Foundation, will also be present.

The 2025 edition will feature a major expansion involving prestigious venues such as The Invisible Collection, Maison Gérard, Royère Gallery, and many more. This is an opportunity to strengthen the ties between the French and American creative communities.
