From May 20-22, 2025, Clerkenwell – the most creative neighborhood in London – will be transformed into an open-air stage for international design with the return of Clerkenwell Design Week. Now in its 14th year, the event is set to impress once again, confirming its place among the most influential festivals on the global scene. And this year promises to be the richest and most ambitious edition yet.

Three new locations – all with historic charm – join the exhibition itinerary: the medieval and Tudor buildings of The Charterhouse and Charterhouse Square, the evocative church of St Bartholomew the Great (the oldest in the capital) and the charming Smithfield Studio, overlooking the market of the same name, in the heart of the Culture Mile. Making this edition even more special is the new site-specific installation by British artist Alex Chinneck, famous for his works between surrealism and urban architecture.

Throughout the district more than 160 showrooms will open their doors with exhibitions, events and talks; 16 different venues will come alive along with international brands and their cutting-edge proposals, discovering materials, concepts and solutions that anticipate contemporary living trends. More than 350 design brands will present novelties and installations.

“We are excited to return to Clerkenwell with our most extensive program yet, both in terms of content and location,” says Marlon Cera-Marle, Design Division Director of Media 10. ”This year we wanted to intertwine design with the city’s history, bringing the most innovative brands to exceptional settings. And there will be no shortage of collaborations with international entities, from national pavilions to the industry’s most influential media.”

CDW 2025 thus promises to be an all-around celebration of creativity: an opportunity to be inspired, to touch innovation and to experience design as an urban, cultural and emotional experience.
