Experimentation, design, creativity, functionality. Luceplan’s lighting arises from these principles, expertly combined to create works of light that are both decorative and architectural, capable of warming environments and promoting visual comfort. Ideally representative of this design philosophy are two of the brand’s many new products, Liiu and Limetry: two distinct proposals in terms of aesthetics and inspiration, but equally adaptable to maximum configurability and versatility, so as to meet the multiple needs of the design world.

The Liiu system, conceived by the VANTOT studio, offers an ethereal and poetic image. It appears as a weave of metal cables punctuated by points of light that fit into the space with extreme lightness, bringing illumination that is both punctual and scenographic. Liiu, in fact, consists of metal cables anchored to the ceiling and held in tension by counterweights, to which the lamp bodies are attached by means of two very light arms. The technical expedient of a simple spiral connects the arms to the cables and allows both the current to be conveyed from the cable to the LED module inside the lamp head and the lighting bodies to be slid along the electrified cables. This creates a constantly transforming graphic design, characterized by a soft light, whether it is a chandelier configuration, a luminous wall, or in the form of a reading lamp. With Liiu, VANTOT also played with a theme of contrasts, between functionality and elegant aesthetics, between the dynamism of the forms and their stability.

Geometric and rhythmic, on the other hand, is Limetry, born from the design of Alessandro Zambelli, a further interpretation of the concept of configurability with decorative appeal. The key element is a rectangular module, a frame that integrates the LED source, releasing uniform illumination. The entire system takes shape from this regular structure: the connections to the multiple elements are attached to its four vertices.

Depending on the orientation of the module – horizontal or vertical – and depending on how the different geometries are aggregated, a versatile system develops. To enrich it, a vertical element that recalls the rectangular geometry of the modules, where a small cylinder (2.8 cm in diameter) is inscribed with LED light directed downwards or upwards depending on the positioning.

Thus, Limetry meets the needs of spaces and uses: from the module with a spotlight placed above a bedside table to emphasize the intimacy of a space, to a more complex image generated by the connection of several elements; arranged on a track or combined with its ceiling rose according to the number of elements that compose it. What results will always be a precise, orderly, rational design.
