A half-hour walk from the iconic Charles Bridge, in the heart of the Czech capital, lies the vibrant headquarters of Czech Promotion, a marketing and communication agency with a creative and lively vision. KURZ architects aimed to reflect this vision in their office design. A few years after creating the initial spaces, the architects managed an expansion that emphasized fluidity and reuse.

The layout is conceived as an open space that unfolds along a fluid path, with workstations arranged on either side. The space flows physically and visually without interruption, capturing the essence of communication, which aligns with the agency’s mission. The architecture embodies and interprets the mission of the people who inhabit it.

To keep costs down and to embrace a commitment to sustainability, the offices feature furnishings and objects that create a lively dialogue between past and present. This demonstrates how a life path, seemingly concluded, can continue with renewed vigor. This ethos is expressed through elements like a window made from wine bottle glass, second-hand doors, walls clad with wood panels from old beams, and cushions that enhance the acoustics of the small, curved meeting rooms.

Restored antique furniture coexists with modern pieces, reinforcing this narrative. «From the beginning and from the very first meeting with the client, we had a clear goal», the architects explain, «to use what has had value in history and can persist for decades with a little help». Adding to the fluid environment is a generous coat of white, extending from the floor to the ceiling, with touches of green from the plants hinting at the agency’s growth.
