Gigi Studios, a visionary and innovative brand specializing in handmade eyewear, seamlessly integrates its artistic exploration process within the new headquarters located near Barcelona. Interior designer Isern Serra chose not to confine the space within traditional boundaries but instead allowed it to breathe freely in barrier-free environments.

This approach showcases the full scope of the company’s innovation and creativity, enabling it to scale international heights after starting as a family-run business. The headquarters, occupying approximately 1,000 square meters on a single floor in a building in Sant Cugat del Vallès, features an open and fluid layout designed to foster interactions and encourage synergies.

In this workspace, circularity plays a crucial role, as does the use of natural light, unobstructed and suggesting the organization of spaces. «We liked the morning sun for the kitchen», recalls Serra, «and the afternoon light, with its reflections and shadows, for the showroom. It’s a light that makes the experience even more special». Hence, the long sides of the floor plan are left open, while the closed areas are grouped on the shorter sides. Here you’ll find the offices and the main meeting room, the only enclosed spaces with views of greenery, accessible through a curved tunnel. In this expansive spatial system, the furniture defines formal and informal zones, custom-made and often circular in shape. These spaces are imbued with soft tones, blending seamlessly with the overall design.

Like the stainless steel niches serving as shelves or the large sofa that doubles as seating and a table along its perimeter. A series of central areas, featuring multifunctional sculptural pieces, add rhythm to the dynamic atmosphere and impart a sense of homeliness. In the design area, some elements are even made of cast concrete.

The large C-shaped bench, constructed in situ and situated next to a series of privacy curtains, echoes the brand’s inherent craftsmanship. However, the most distinctive part of the project is the showroom, divided into exhibition and meeting areas, where a minimalist ambiance highlights the eyewear.

Two massive sculptural display tables feature a concrete top supported by travertine rock, expertly carved by artists from the Barbany quarry. These spaces are strategically connected to the kitchen, designed in a homely style, with a central island and two large communal tables for events and dinners.
